Hope for Port-de-Paix is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming Port-de-Paix and its surrounding communities through sustainable development. We focus on clean water access, waste management and sanitation, youth sports, agriculture, and infrastructure projects. Our goal is to create a cleaner, safer, and more prosperous future for current and future generations in one of Haiti’s most underserved regions.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Hope for Port-de-Paix has submitted its application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS and we are currently awaiting approval. Once approved, donations made during the pending period may be retroactively tax-deductible, effective from the date of our incorporation.
We recommend that you consult with your tax advisor for guidance on claiming deductions while our application is under review. We will notify all donors as soon as our 501(c)(3) determination is confirmed and provide updated documentation for your records.
How is my donation used?
We ensure that every dollar donated is used efficiently and transparently. Your donation directly supports:

Can I choose where my donation goes?
Yes. We give you the option to designate your donation to a specific project (e.g., clean water, Agriculture, Trash Clean-up, community Center, or General Purpose). Just select your preferred initiative when donating online or let us know by email.
How can I volunteer?
We welcome volunteers who want to contribute their time, skills, or passion. Whether you’re local to Haiti or based internationally, you can:
